strangeness & charm

I’m a mess. I spent the majority of the day unpacking my apartment and trying to psych myself up for the summer, but I can’t shake this feeling that I have - that I need to be with my family right now. It’s peculiar and something I didn’t expect because I spent a chunk of the spring semester feeling like I needed to be here. I know that there aren’t many chances for me to spend a lot of time with my parents in the future because I’m getting older, and I honestly just miss the hell out of them right now.

My dad’s health isn’t the best right now - and even with all of our problems, I feel like I’d regret not spending time with him that I’m able to. I want to fix things.

I hate thinking of myself as a quitter.
